Kathie Ruhl was born and raised in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. After graduating from Colorado State University in 1995, Kathie started her home staging and interior design business, A Bolder Staging & Design, LLC, with her mother, Kim Reinhold. The pair successfully worked together for 17 years to build their business, until Kim retired in 2014. A Bolder Staging is a full-service home staging company providing vacant or occupied home staging, design and organization. In her career this far, Kathie has staged nearly 10,000 homes all across Colorado.
Between the many years of interior design and her extensive real estate experience, Kathie knows exactly what today's home buyers are looking for. She pays close attention to detail and understands that first impressions are everything in real estate. An unfavorable first impression to a potential buyer could cost the seller a top dollar sale. A Bolder Staging & Design, LLC offers full-service staging of the entire home, or staging of just the “impact” areas of the home, including outdoor spaces. A vacant home can potentially sit on the market for two to three times longer than an occupied home. Only a small percentage of home buyers can truly picture the potential of a home; Kathie’s goal is to aid the buyer in forming a vision as well as an emotional attachment to the home, which for many people, can be difficult to do in an empty space. A Bolder Staging & Design, LLC owns all their own furniture, artwork and accessories thus eliminating the use of a third party furniture leasing company, yielding an affordable and convenient delivery. Once measurements and photos are taken, Kathie is able to create a personalized design plan for the home, utilizing her 7,000 square foot warehouse which is filled with accessories and furniture that represent current and classic trends. Each piece is chosen based on what will best suit the home and the seller’s budget. Once the staging crew loads and packs the trucks, the staging begins, which typically takes one full day to complete. Kathie oversees every staging from delivery, set up, and pick up. She can ensure that once staged, not only will the colors and décor match the style of the home, all artwork and furnishings will be to the appropriate scale.
